Starting in April and running through November the city of Avalon holds a monthly “Big Band Dance” at the Avalon Community Hall. Each month features a different orchestra, and the cost is only $5.00 per person, paid at the door. Free beach concerts also occur monthly May through September, with a different band playing each time.
